Another picture of the wild Sokoke cat hunting in the neighborhood
We gave my daughters friend a Sokoke cat a few years ago for her birthday! I was not aware that they did not get the cat fixed, nor did they take great care of it as promised. These cats tend to be "talkers" and have a distinct meow and sound like they are chatting with their owners or other cats. They are REALLY vocal! I guess this made the father of Breanna's friend angry and instead of telling me and giving the cat away or to the shelter, he just put it out in the ally. I was pissed!
The cat is very expenisve and rather rare.I got it for under 100.00 dollars as the lady selling them did not know what she had or how much they were worth ,so, great deal there! Now, Bre's friend's father threw the cat out in the ally and it was not spayed.It must have breed with tomcat allycats and had babies as I saw this one today in a neighbors yard and it WAS feral...wild! I think it is either her babies or her babies babies "watered" down with domesticated American house cat as the stripes are a bit darker.
The Sokoke cat is a naturally occurring breed found in the Arabuko Sokoke Forest District, South East Kenya, Africa. The Sokoke Forest is reasonably near the African Savanna. Many people think the original Sokoke is a cross between a wild Serval and a local domestic cat.

It's great that you lucked out in finding such a rare breed. Take good care of the pretty kitty. :D

I have to catch it first but we can't keep it because Breannas eyes will act up from the fur. I will see how many of her babies I can find and find homes or take them to the shelter and give them some money to help shelter them and fix them.
